Training


Trek’s most valuable assets are its people. Since every member of our team are the face, voice and image of the company, we invest an extensive amount of time and resources into ensuring that they enter the sales world prepared with knowledge and firsthand experience.

Our comprehensive 3 month training program and ongoing mentor program gives all new recruits the opportunity to learn the ropes through a mix of hypothetical and live situational training.


Phase I – The Basics
Recruits get acclimated with our database through data entry. They also begin learning to speak the language of logistics through handling both mock and live phone calls with customers, warehouse and carriers. Also, time management skill training is introduced. Finally, recruits are introduced to the art of carrier sales.

Phase II – Skill Development
Phase I skills are fine tuned with a strong focus on relationship development. Recruits gradually gain independence and are encouraged to take a creative approach for generating leads and personalize their sales style.

Phase III – A Logistics Sales Rep
Recruits are now prepared with in-depth knowledge of logistics sales.
