Main Objective:
Establish relationships with trucking companies in order to get the most out of their available equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Establish regular contacts at trucking companies and engage them on personal level in order to benefit the business relationship
- Cold call / warm call trucking companies to match our available freight to their available equipment
- Further investigate trucking companies in an effort to learn their business and offer them the maximum amount of freight as possible on a regular basis
- Negotiate pricing with trucking companies in order to maximize profit
- Make intuitive decisions about market conditions that drive pricing
- Exercise logical decision making based on thorough questioning and investigation
- Work in conjunction with the customer reps to make decisions and troubleshoot issues with shipments
