TREK's Hiring Process

At Trek Freight Services, our thorough recruiting and interviewing process helps us identify quality candidates who mirror our company values.

  1. Online Application

  2. Before you can be considered for a position with TREK, we ask that you complete an online personality survey with Culture Index. This is not a test.

    • There is no passing or failing.
    • There is no such thing as a perfect result.
    • We only measure work related behaviors.
    • Usually takes 10-15 minutes

Take your time, read the instructions and complete the survey by yourself. After completing the survey you will be requested to attach your resume.

  3. Phone Interview

  4. The phone interview is conducted by a TREK Recruiter; it typically lasts 30 minutes. This casual conversation is designed to give you more information about our organization and the specific position that you have applied for, as well as to give our recruiters the chance to learn about your aspirations. Our recruiters will also explain our WORK HARD|PLAY HARD way of life and how hiring the right “culture fit” is essential to our organization.

  5. In-person Interview

  6. This casual hour long, one-on-one meeting is designed to give you more in-depth information about our organization, culture and the position that you have applied for, as well as give our hiring managers the chance to develop an understanding of your background, interest and ambitions.

Because of our WORK HARD| PLAY HARD culture, we want to witness your outgoing personality during the interview.

  7. Job Shadow

    • You will be asked to e-mail the hiring manager a short assignment before coming to TREK for 2 hours of job shadowing. This assignment will require that you explain your continued interest and state 3 reasons why you want a career at TREK.
    • During your on-site interview, you will shadow a Sales Representative as they perform their typical day in sales/freight brokering.
    • This is your opportunity to ask a Trek sales employee questions about our positions, organizational structure, and culture.

  8. Pre-Employment Verification

    • Professional reference check
    • Criminal background check
    • Education & employment verification
